INNOVATOR
GAME CHANGER
INTERNATIONAL PLAYMAKER
Brian Barlow started a journey in 2016 that changed the entire discussion and viewpoint of how adults behave at youth sporting events.
Innovation is being bold, being vulnerable, being criticized, being ridiculed, and being ready for the moment of impact. Welcome to the little Facebook page that did.

This page has been seen all over the world and has made Barlow what he calls “Facebook famous.” Offside is a page for controversy, discussion, and solution-oriented ideas to help youth sports give back to the people and the kids. When Barlow takes the stage, you will hear him say, “fortune favors the bold” many times. In order to be significant or to be heard, you must be bold, and that’s what the Offside page is today. One day Barlow received a video of an adult kicking a soccer ball at youth referee in Arkansas and decided to post the video and make this a bold statement.
“IF YOU EVER CAPTURE REFEREE ABUSE LIKE THIS AND I POST IT ON THIS PAGE, I WILL GIVE YOU $100!!!”
This bold message, as crazy as it sounds, sent shockwaves in the sports world. Someone was finally engaging, going to call out people for acting like children at youth sporting events and shame them to the public.
Offside has become a powerful advocate in the protection and setting of behavioral standards for referees of all levels and all sports. Referees now have a strong voice and expectation of respect that was once taken for granted. Barlow has become powerful, sought out influencer in changing the dynamics of how officials, clubs and organizations should hold their constituents accountable.
And Barlow’s crazy bold tactics work- he’s been seen all over the world with countless interviews and articles writte about him and the OFFSIDE page.
